More than 80 guests that included students, alumni, and industry professionals attended the Food Science Networking Night. Attendees enjoyed beverages and appetizers while connecting with fellow students and representatives from the local food industry that included Nutrilite, Trader Joe’s, and BarBakers. Alan True, founder and CEO of True Foods HPP, was the featured speaker and highlighted trends for clean labeling, food safety, and future opportunities for students looking to work in the food industry. Alumni enjoyed reconnecting with former professors and graciously shared their experiences with current students. Industry professionals introduced themselves and spoke with potential hires about job opportunities in a range of areas, including quality control, research and development, and regulatory.
